The Philander Smith College women's track team embarked on a road trip this past Friday to participate in the highly anticipated Harding Invitational. The competition provided an opportunity for new names to make their mark and contribute to the team's success. In the 400m event, Jasmin Johnson demonstrated her speed and endurance, finishing an impressive 2nd place out of a field of 11 talented runners. Her outstanding time of 1:01.15 showcased her dedication and skill, solidifying her position as a formidable competitor in the conference. Ayanna Allen also made a notable impact in the 400m event, securing a commendable 5th place finish with a time of 1:02.42. Clearing the bar at a height of 1.50m, she displayed her athleticism and contributed valuable points to the team's overall score.

The Lady Panthers relay team proved to be a force to be reckoned with, excelling in both the 4x400m and 4x100m events. In the 4x400m relay, the team's exceptional performance earned them a well-deserved 1st place finish, clocking in at an impressive time of 4:14.91. Furthermore, in the 4x100m relay, the relay team showcased their speed and precision, securing a commendable 3rd place finish with a time of 51.37.
