Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Cross Country Championship
Clinton, MS (October 20, 2017) -- Men's and Women's Cross country participated in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Cross Country Championship this past Friday.
The Lady Panthers finished in 5th place in the GCAC. The Men finished 4th with two men qualifying for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships in Vancouver, Washington. This is the first time Philander Smith College runners have ever qualified for nationals in Cross Country.
Santerris Booker (FR/West Memphis, AR) and Kenneth Broyles (FR/Marion, AR) finished in the top 10 earning All-GCAC honors while Freshman Noel Lyons (FR/New Orleans, LA) finished 12th.
