PSU Takes Down Tougaloo At Home

Little Rock, AR- The Lady Panthers came out victorious over Tougaloo College in a thrilling match that went through four intense sets. The bulldogs of Tougaloo put up a remarkable fight, making Philander give their all on the court. After losing the first set 19-25 Philander flipped the switch and would take off with the last three sets winning them 25-22, 25-18, and 25-9.

Leading the team with exceptional performance, Zarea Winn showcased her skills with an impressive tally of 20 kills, 14 digs, 2 blocks, and a hitting percentage of .283. She was standing out in all aspects tonight for the Lady Panthers. This was also her second game of the season with 20 plus kills. Ja'Niya Sanders also contributed significantly with 13 kills, 3 blocks, and a hitting percentage of .312.

Adrianna Evans displayed her prowess with 13 kills, 6 digs, and an impressive hitting percentage of .367. Evans had a remarkable performance versus the Lady Bulldogs which gave PSU a boost to win. Essence Wren played a vital role with 46 assists and 5 digs, showcasing her fantastic abilities to communicate and set her teammates up for success. 

This victory reflects the hard work and dedication of the entire team. They never gave up, even when the going got tough. The Lady Panthers will travel to St. Louis next to play Harris Stowe University!
