Little Rock, AR- Last night, Philander Smith University had an exciting match against Wiley College in Little Rock, AR. It was quite a back and forth battle, but in the end, PSU came out on top, winning the game in 5 sets (28-20, 15-25, 25-20, 15-25, and 15-13)! The game kept the fans on the edge of their seats all night as neither team gave in.
Kiah Rucker was an absolute star, leading the offense with 16 kills! Impressive, right? Not only that, but her hitting percentage was an impressive .583! Talk about an unstoppable force! Ja'Nyia Sanders also contributed massively to the team's success. On the offensive side, she delivered 15 kills of her own. But she didn't stop there! She led on the defensive side too, with 7 digs and 6 blocks. What a powerhouse!
Let's not forget about Zarea Winn, who played an incredible all-around game. She notched 15 kills and managed to get under 23 digs! That takes some serious hustle and skill. Essence Wren deserves a special mention too. She assisted her team tremendously with 34 assists for kills. And finally, a shout out to Maya Jones, who dominated the court with her defensive skills. She racked up an impressive 17 digs!
