In a thrilling display of resilience and skill, the Philander Smith University (PSU) Lady Panthers outlasted the Central Baptist College (CBC) Lady Mustangs in a five-set nail-biter on Tuesday night, clinching a 3-2 victory at their home court.

The match showed intense back-and-forth action and saw PSU emerge victorious with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 24-26, and 15-5. The Lady Mustangs pushed the home team to their limits, but the Lady Panthers' superior performance in the final set secured the win.

Key to PSU's success were their offensive powerhouses. Ja'Niya Sanders, Zarea Winn, and Maya Jones combined for a staggering 32 kills, consistently pressuring the CBC defense throughout the match. Sanders led the charge with 13 kills, while Winn contributed 10 and Jones added 9.
