In a commanding display of skill and teamwork, the Philander Smith University Panthers secured a comprehensive 3-0 win against the Wiley Wildcats in their latest volleyball conference matchup. The event, held on October 26, 2024, at Little Rock, Ark., echoed with cheers as the Panthers dominated each set with scores of 25-7, 25-14, and 25-16.
From the outset, the Panthers showed their prowess with Zarea Winn leading the attack, delivering 10 crucial kills. She was ably supported by Kiah Rucker and Antonisha Whitney, who added 8 and 4 kills respectively. Whitney also made her presence felt on defense, amassing an impressive total of 7 blocks, making her a standout player of the match. Supporting her in blocks were Rucker and Ja'Niya Sanders, each with 3 blocks.
The defensive game was equally strong with Jahda Ealy making remarkable plays, as she scooped up 17 digs.
